It would, under normal circumstances, be taking place on it should be Thursday, October 22. But this year, due to Covid restrictions, it has yet to be decided if the event will go ahead. WebStow-on-the-Wold is an ancient Cotswold Wool Town situated beside The Fosse Way, a Roman road that runs from Exeter to Lincoln in an almost straight line. It is set on a rounded hill at a height of about 800 feet above sea level. This elevated position, and the effects of the wind and rain have encouraged the creation of the enclosed town square.
