WebNov 3, 2012 · Halloo. Glad I just caught this. Made a mistake. Number 1 switch on the Dyna 2000i is for VOES settings. That switch stays off for normal VOES mode. Number 2 and number 3 are off for the most aggressive curve, switch 2 is on and switch 3 is off for curve 2, switch 2 is off and switch 3 is on for curve 3 and switch 2 and 3 both are on for curve 4. WebApr 26, 2012 · Oh, and the 99 Softails were the last to get the Evo as far as I know. The TC motor shook too much and because the ST was hard mounted it was unacceptable. They came out with the TCB motor for the ST in 2000. The only real difference I know of is the derby cover is the same as the TC, unlike the earlier 3 bolt ones.

WebNov 18, 2010 · Say the VOES is set at 5 in.hg. That means from 5 in. vacuum to atmospheric (wide open throttle or almost fully open) the ignition is retarded to prevent detonation. Above 5 in. the ignition is advanced. I don't use it because my '72 never had a VOES switch. I know I could fit one but mine runs fine without it. WebMar 1, 2014 · Discussion Starter · #1 · Feb 19, 2014. Just installed Dyna 2000i ignition on my 78 Shovelhead. Hooked it up the way the instructions said, by way of the steps and diagram. The problem is the LED light keeps flashing stating that the ohms are not right for the coils, or there's a wiring problem. Its supposed to flash, then go out.
